Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between Swedish and deep tissue massage?
Swedish massage is gentle, rhythmic, and ideal for stress relief and relaxation. Deep tissue massage is slower, more focused, and targets the deeper layers of muscle and fascia to relieve chronic pain or mobility restrictions.
Are you accepting new clients?
Absolutely. At this time, online booking is reserved for existing clients. New clients are welcome to inquire through the Contact Form to request an appointment.
Can I book if I’m recovering from an injury or surgery?
Yes, though I ask that you reach out before scheduling. Sessions can be adapted based on your recovery stage and goals.
What should I expect from my first session?
We’ll go over your goals and health history, and the session will be tailored to your needs. You’ll be professionally draped at all times, and communication is always welcome.
What types of massage do you offer?
My practice includes deep tissue, sports, Swedish, and structural therapeutic massage. Each session is tailored to your goals—whether pain relief, recovery, or functional mobility.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Hydrate well, avoid heavy meals before the session, and arrive 5–10 minutes early to settle in.
Please arrive freshly showered and clean, ideally within a few hours of your appointment. Good hygiene helps create a comfortable, respectful environment for both of us. Since I often work with deeper techniques and in areas like the glutes, hips, and lower back, it’s especially important to ensure those areas are clean before your session.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide a detailed receipt for possible reimbursement through your provider or HSA/FSA.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Please provide 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. I appreciate your respect for my time and schedule.
